Draft - Cards Universe - Ace of Hearts

More playing with characters -

It all started one year when the water rose on the older side of town. There was a government sponsored apartment block next to an official building that dealt with document storage and filing information. The apartment block wasn't evacuated since the lower levels were supposedly strong enough to handle the water.

The apartment collaspe started a fire which quickly hopped over to the official building beside it. During this fire, a young clerk happened to grab a folder of top secret documents while attempting to free a friend from the fire. His lungs were badly damaged from the smoke, and he didn't manage to tell the firefighters what was in the folder. The clerk was declared a hero for helping rescue several people.

A firefighter opened the folder and saw the name of her brother among a top secret discussion of eliminating rebellious residents. The firefighter had a friend who helped run a small newspaper. She decided that the information must be published.

Meanwhile, the government was claiming that the fire was probably due to rebellious residents. By this point, they had declared a state of emergency. When the newspapers came out with the information, there was a riot.

After this riot, the government declared martial law, and cracked down heavily on the press.

The clerk was shocked to know what one simple folder caused.

Later, he became the Ace of Hearts.
