So far, in this tin I've found -

14 small buttons made out of a soft metal (pewter? tin? silver) and a matching clasp. Marked Norway and Tinn, presumbably for a Norwegian colorwork sweater.

4 small clasps in a bag labeled Raumagarn Mollsikkert, Montser og garn far Del, Husfliden.

7 cheap feeling metal buttons with a soft 4 petaled flower on them

Assorted other metal buttons.

Assorted clunky coat buttons made out of shell.

5 pretty daisy shaped buttons out of shell

a bag full of jet buttons.

... What in the world will I do with these?

Some kind of collage, maybe? Or as decoration on some bit of sewing, like oversized beads?

Bwuh. Possibly?

The Norwegian stuff is for knitting, but who knows if I'm ever going to do something big enough to need the buttons.

It's real jet on the jet buttons. Not plastic. Weird. There's some nifty ones with little gold thistles on them.

Take a blouse, remove the old, boring buttons and sew on a whole bunch of new, mismatched buttons!!

*blinku* Possibly? Some of them are corroding though - I should sort out those.

There's some coppery ones with spiral designs.
