There's this youth knitting group. I'm teaching it. Supposed to be 9 and up. It's - erm - not entirely in that age group.|
So far, I've had the fun of:
Helping make a stuffed pickle. With a cape. And a ponytail.
Explained knitting using metaphors of car doors.
Had one kid sigh and have a hissy fit.
Said 'Inside voices.' Without being ironic.
Tried to explain that if you rip a stitch off, you lose the stitch.
Explained that an inch long strip is not a square.
